Dr. Deidra Harrison-McClain

Dr. Deidra Harrison-McClain began her career as a dental assistant but knew that she was destined to be a dentist from as early as sixth grade! After her own positive experience with orthodontic treatment, she realized that she wanted to help promote positive feelings about oral health while providing the same compassionate care to her own patients. Today, she is pleased to do just that at the helm of Goodlettsville Smiles!

Dr. Harrison-McClain earned her undergraduate degree at Tennessee State University, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. She then completed her dental residency at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Dental Medicine.

Today, when she’s not focused on her patients’ healthy, beautiful smiles, she spends her free time with her beloved husband, staying active by playing tennis, working out, and heading outdoors. A talented artist, she also loves painting and creating pottery.

Furthermore, because Dr. Harrison-McClain believes that your income should not prevent you from having excellent oral health, she is proud to volunteer with many deserving organizations including Remote Area Medical and Hope Smiles. She also makes an annual pilgrimage to Jamaica with the Jamaica Awareness Association of California and students from the Meharry School of Dentistry to help underserved patients with their dental care.

Dr. Ravi Patel

Dr. Ravi Patel loves working with patients, and how dentistry can help improve every aspect of their lives. Plus, it gives him the opportunity to pursue his own passions- art and science! After earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, he went on to pursue his dental degree at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Since graduating, he has also dedicated much of his personal time to help underprivileged patients at various public health clinics.

A native of Dyersburg, Dr. Patel enjoys visiting his family who still live in and operate a small business in the community. He also loves cooking, teaching English, and painting miniatures thanks to his excellent eye for detail (an important quality in a dentist!). You can also find him cheering for the Vols and Titans or planning his next travel adventure!
